Position Summary (About the Role)

Students For Liberty is seeking a passionate and professional individual to serve as Latin America Leadership Associate. The Associate will support the region’s leadership programs, including but not limited to recruitment, supervision, evaluation, and offboarding processes of volunteers. The Associate will be responsible for supporting the growth of local groups by providing guidance and support to volunteers, as well as support for training programs across the region. 

A successful candidate will have a firm commitment to libertarian ideas and to SFL’s mission to educate, develop, and empower the next generation of leaders for liberty, will be able to maintain constant communication with volunteers and staff, and has an innovation mindset. 

The position is remote and will report to the EsLibertad and North America Programs Manager. The position is based in the Spanish-speaking Americas and may require travel throughout the region. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment activities
  • Supervision of volunteer performance 
  • Surveying and information gathering from volunteers 
  • Handling internal communication with local teams
  • Permanent support in training events and programs
  • Coordinating team structures and national coordinators’ selection
  • Support in general operations
  • Uphold SFL’s values, culture, and brand. 

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Volunteer management or supervising experience
  • Program or project management experience
  • Ability to balance many different programs while maintaining attention to detail
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Positive, goal-oriented outlook
  • Willingness to learn and provide assistance as necessary
  • High proficiency with Google Office Suite
  • Ability to show discretion
  • Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously, and show entrepreneurial drive in a remote work environment
  • Flexibility and team focus in prioritizing and organizing projects and tasks

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate life experience
  • Residency in a country in the Spanish Speaking Americas
  • Previous involvement with Students For Liberty
