Position summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to help Students For Liberty launch a new project to spread the philosophy of Human Respect (see below).  The Human Respect Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, development, and execution of a series of tools, trainings, and events to build awareness of the philosophy of Human Respect, train discussion leaders, and plan for future events and activities that will spread that awareness further.  The manager will serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Human Respect.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sufficient understanding of the philosophy of Human Respect to function as the internal go-to for questions about how to develop the required videos, training curricula, and discussion guides, and, equally important, know when it is necessary to consult outside resources to clarify specific points or nuances about the philosophy;
  • Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget;
  • Coordinate with various SFL departments to leverage their expertise in the development of all required material;
  • Design and deliver training, workshops, and sessions that help students and team members advance their learnings on Human Respect and its application to daily living as well as broader policy implications;
  • Deliver first trainings in Brazil, Latin America, the US, and Europe over the course of the first 12 months;
  • Mentor and facilitate the continued development of students interested in the philosophy of Human Respect;
  • Create and review educational materials, articles, and resources related to Human Respect;
  • Other duties that may be assigned or developed over the course of this project

Qualifications

  • Experience in volunteer and/or people management
  • Excellent communication and soft skills
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to be autonomous and entrepreneurial
  • Full proficiency in English.  Spanish and Portuguese would be a plus
  • Demonstrated philosophical background and expertise
  • High level of Word, Excel and, Powerpoint proficiency
  • Proficiency with G Suite
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in instructional design 
  • Experience in group creation and management
  • Experience in speaking at events
  • Willingness and ability (visa eligible) to travel periodically to Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the United States
