Position Summary
Students For Liberty seeks a curriculum-driven professional to serve as Training Associate. This full-time role is responsible for owning the ideological and skills training curriculum for coordinators — from onboarding modules to ongoing programming that builds Regional Coordinator (RC) quality, not just volume.
The Training Associate will work closely with the North America Programs team on a rewards-based incentive program that encourages student coordinators to stay active and engaged on their campuses, and with the North America Programs Manager on the onboarding system. Full scope and KPIs will be defined by the North America Programs Director in collaboration with the Director of International Programs within the first 30 days of hire.
The ideal candidate combines deep commitment to liberty principles with strong instructional and curriculum development skills. They are comfortable building training systems from the ground up, collaborating across teams, and iterating quickly based on measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Ownership
- Design and maintain the end-to-end training curriculum for Regional Coordinators, covering both ideological grounding and operational skills.
- Develop onboarding modules that set new RCs up for success within their first 30 days.
- Create ongoing programming that deepens RC quality and leadership capacity over time.
- Ensure curriculum is aligned with SFL’s mission, values, and regional priorities.
- Iterate on training content based on RC performance data and feedback.
Onboarding System Collaboration
- Partner closely with the North America Programs Manager to integrate training curriculum into the RC onboarding pipeline.
- Ensure training delivery is coordinated with onboarding milestones and completion timelines.
- Support the goal of 90%+ of new RCs completing onboarding within 45 days of sign-up.
- Identify gaps between onboarding completion and RC activation and develop training interventions to close them.
Rewards-Based Incentive Program and Training Standards
- Oversee SFL’s rewards-based incentive program — a structured system that encourages student coordinators to remain active on their campuses by earning points and recognition for hosting events, recruiting new members, completing training modules, and submitting photo documentation of their campus activities.
- Review and process coordinator activity submissions, verifying that events and campus actions meet program standards before approving points or rewards.
- Monitor submission rates across the North America region; follow up with coordinators who fall behind and flag persistent non-compliance to the North America Programs Director.
- Collaborate with the North America Programs team to set and refine the standards that determine what qualifies for credit within the incentive program.
- Develop and maintain clear training benchmarks and competency standards for coordinators at each stage of their development.
- Track training participation and incentive program engagement rates; surface trends and insights to the North America Programs Director on a regular basis.
Program Execution and Coordination
- Manage training calendar and programming schedule across onboarding cohorts and ongoing RC development.
- Coordinate with State Coordinators and the Outreach Associate to ensure training resources reach RCs across North America.
- Support the North America Programs Director with training-related reporting and performance data.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in coordinator development.
