Meet the Projects Shaping the Future of Freedom

Across campuses, communities, and countries, SFL coordinators are transforming bold ideas into real initiatives, building lasting change, one project at a time.

Turning Ideas Into Action

Every year, Students For Liberty empowers thousands of young leaders to move from ideas to action, defending freedom, sparking debate, and transforming communities worldwide.

Through ImpactLab, coordinators design and test innovative initiatives. Those that prove their strength evolve into Impact Projects, gaining recognition for their measurable influence.

These projects are more than student experiments: they are real-world laboratories of change, shaping culture, influencing policy, and driving new conversations on liberty.

This platform showcases their courage and creativity, while highlighting the powerful return of investing in freedom through the next generation.

Status: 2026 David Boaz Impact Project of the Year

The David Boaz Impact Project of the Year Award

Every year, one Impact Project earns the movement’s highest honor.

Named for David Boaz, the Cato Institute scholar who helped found Students For Liberty and championed our students until his passing in 2024, this award celebrates the project that creates the most meaningful and measurable change toward a freer world. It is made possible by a generous gift from David and his husband, Steve Miller.

Finalists are flown to LibertyCon, where the winner takes the stage David chose for his final public appearance.
