Exploring How Limited Government Can Reduce Corruption In Indonesia

Impact Project: Limited Government Summit: How limited Government can reduce Corruption & fraud

This project addresses Indonesia’s chronic struggle with corruption by going beyond punitive measures and tackling the root cause: excessive state power. The Limited Government Summit and its accompanying webinar series will educate students and young professionals on how overregulation, discretionary authority, and bureaucratic bloat create ideal conditions for bribery, collusion, and fraud.

Instead of moralistic anti-corruption campaigns, this initiative advocates for a structural shift toward limited government, guided by the principles of decentralization, deregulation, and fiscal transparency. The summit serves as both an educational experience and a movement-building moment, introducing underrepresented libertarian ideas (e.g., Nozick, Rothbard, Sowell) into Indonesian discourse.

The project is designed to attract university students, academics, journalists, and entrepreneurs-sectors disproportionately affected by bureaucratic inefficiency-and catalyze them into advocates for systemic change.

Initial Objectives:

  • Host a hybrid summit with at least 100 in-person participants.
  • Deliver 3 webinars with a minimum of 50 attendees each.
  • Build an online community of at least 150 members.
  • Launch 2 podcast episodes related to limited government.
  • Secure 3 partnerships or sponsorships to support continuity and sustainability.
