It’s been the only guardian of true liberty connecting like-minded people across the globe who share common ideas on liberty.”
- What made you decide to join Students For Liberty?
At the age of seventeen when I started studying politics and economics, I was exposed to several political loopholes which made me think about other alternatives.
In 2016 when I attended the Students For Liberty Regional Conference in Hyderabad, I was introduced to the ideas on liberty, and I learned that politics is not a force, but a form of persuasion between living and let living, while rejecting both subjugation and domination. This conference has paved my way forward and the speakers inspired me to become a promising leader at Students For Liberty.
- What was your biggest accomplishment as a student leader?
As a student leader in 2018, I raised over $1,500 to help fund the Hyderabad Regional Conference and also provided scholarships for South Asia SFL’s event participants. The conference was one of the most successful events of the year, with over 250 participants.
In 2019, I raised over $1,500 to fund the Socratic Camp, which took place in Mumbai. The best participants from these two events were provided with Acton University Scholarships.
- What would you tell someone who is considering getting involved with Students For Liberty?
If their values align with the vision of Students For Liberty, I would tell them that they would be really excited about working with the SFL global community, knowing that they are making a difference through their work. Students For Liberty will help them grow personally and professionally, by enhancing their skills.
- What does liberty mean to you?
Liberty means having the power of choice, regardless of where one is from and which background he/she belongs to – as long as they have the passion and grit to work hard, they should have the right to choose their own path.
