The 2024 Newcomer of the Year Is Klára Sasínová

Each year, many new volunteers join our programs and get involved with the activities of our teams in almost 30 European countries. Many of them make a major impact shortly after getting involved in the pro-liberty movement, and it is these students who we celebrate with our annual Newcomer of the Year award. And its 2024 recipient is Klára Sasínová.

Klára joined our team in the Czech Republic in May, 2023, and immediately got involved assisting at events, including the first edition of the Ukrainian Renaissance conference in Ivano Frankivsk in July that year.

Later in the year, Klára took over management of events in Brno, one of the Czech team’s largest hubs, and even organised the annual regional conference in Prague, which focused on the topic of ethical capitalism.

After the success of the event, Klára became the National Coordinator for the Czech Republic, one of our largest volunteer groups in Europe, and significantly improved the team’s recruitment, onboarding and management processes, leveraging her professional experience in HR.

She also shared this expertise with others, delivering multiple professional and personal development trainings both in-person and online for our students, and ín March, she went on to co-organise an in-person training for our coordinators in Central Europe, focused mostly around video making and public speaking. Last summer, she was one of the main organisers of the second edition of the Ukrainian Renaissance conference, which brought 250 attendees to Lviv, Ukraine.

Following all these impactful accomplishments, Klára became our 2024 Newcomer of the Year, and later joined our staff team as the European Programs Associate.
