North American Communications and Recruitment Internship

About the Role 

Position: Communications Intern 

Duration: November 1st, 2024 – April 30th, 2025  

Location: Remote  

Stipend: $600 per month  

Time: 10 hours per week

As a Communications and Recruitment Intern, you will…

Develop Chapter-Building and Recruitment Skills

  • Gain experience in helping students establish and grow pro-liberty chapters on their campuses, including strategizing and implementing outreach and recruitment campaigns.

Enhance Communication and Persuasion Techniques

  • Improve your written and verbal communication skills by engaging with students and local organizations, learning how to effectively present ideas and persuade others to join the liberty movement.

Strengthen Organizational and Project Management Skills

  • Learn how to manage multiple tasks, track recruitment progress, and organize chapter development efforts, sharpening your ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Master Outreach and Engagement Tactics

  • Gain hands-on experience in planning and executing outreach campaigns aimed at student recruitment and chapter growth, learning the best practices in community engagement.

Collaborate Across Teams to Achieve Shared Goals

  • Work with multiple departments within SFL, understanding the importance of cross-team collaboration to ensure the success of communication and recruitment efforts.

Build Confidence in Leadership and Initiative

  • Take a proactive role in chapter development and communication strategies, honing your leadership and self-motivation abilities to drive the success of pro-liberty initiatives.

Expand Your Network in the Liberty Movement

  • Establish connections with liberty-minded students, local groups, and professionals, broadening your network and creating opportunities for future involvement in the liberty movement.

Qualifications 

  • Passion for communications, recruitment, and chapter development  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail  
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team  
  • Enthusiasm for liberty, and a drive to help students succeed in advancing the cause
