About the Role

Students For Liberty is currently seeking a passionate and professional individual to serve as our Brazilian Development Manager.

You will create and manage strategies for obtaining donations, grants, and other funding sources.

Your responsibilities as a Development Manager will be to cultivate partnerships, create compelling proposals, and ensure the financial success of the organization. This is a full-time remote role reporting to the Brazilian Programs Director. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills and a firm commitment to classical liberal ideas and SFL’s mission statement.

Responsibilities

  • Create reports on the progress and impact of the organization for donors, the board of directors, and other stakeholders
  • Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships with other organizations or entities that can benefit the organization’s mission
  • Define the strategy for institutional representations
  • Create and manage strategies for obtaining donations, grants, and other funding
  • Oversee the creation of proposals for donations, grants, and other funding
  • Manage grant proposals, corporate contributions, and in-kind donations
  • Supervise the management of the donor, beneficiary, partner, and other stakeholder databases
  • Ensure alignment of SFLB projects with the organization’s sales strategies
  • Communicate with donors and potential donors to ensure continuous financial support
  • Mentor staff and SFLB volunteers regarding communication with stakeholders and sales strategy
  • Monitor project deliveries, ensuring their adequacy to stakeholders’ needs

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:

  • Knowledge of libertarianism and classical liberalism
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the libertarian movement
  • Strong proficiency in fundraising and development strategies
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Positive, goal-oriented outlook
  • Willingness to learn, be proactive, and provide assistance as necessary
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, etc.)

Preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in using CRMs like RD Station CRM and Salesforce
  • Strong background in sales and key account management (3+ years)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
