Università Senza Censure is a cross-country awareness campaign aiming to revive the core university values of academic freedom and open discourse. Spearheaded by a transnational team of Local Coordinators, the initiative highlights rising censorship and bureaucratic overreach in Swiss and Italian universities, institutions increasingly threatened by political alignment, digital disruption, and ideological rigidity.
The campaign will tour seven key universities across Switzerland and Italy, organizing campus stands, distributing educational materials, and hosting debates with speakers who have experienced censorship firsthand. It advocates for structural reforms that protect academic freedom, including a national petition and a potential collaboration with external research institutes to measure freedom on campus. The project positions SFL as a leading voice for liberty in academic spaces and aims to attract students seeking alternatives to dominant campus narratives.
Initial Objectives:
- Launch a 7-city campus tour in Switzerland and Italy over two weeks.
- Gather support for a national petition on academic freedom reform.
- Explore collaboration with a research body to rank campus liberty levels.
