Increasing Economic Literacy And Critical Thinking Among High School And University Students

Impact Project: The Power of Free Economy

The Power of Free Economy is an educational outreach project designed to increase economic literacy and critical thinking among high school and university students in under-resourced regions of western Georgia. It addresses gaps in financial education, limited access to libertarian economic principles, and widespread misinformation about taxation and government spending. Through on-site lectures and workshops, the program introduces students to free market concepts, private property, cryptocurrency, and critiques of centralized economic control. The format includes expert talks, interactive sessions, and take-home assignments, with the goal of motivating students to question state economic interventions and engage with ideas of individual financial autonomy. By physically traveling to remote cities, the project creates a rare space for face-to-face education on economic liberty tailored to younger audiences.

Initial Objectives:

  • Deliver educational activities in four cities.
  • Build partnerships with regional organizations focused on education and economics.
  • Reach high school and university students aged 14-19.
  • Establish local engagement through practical, competitive learning formats.
