When Gaming Meets Activism: The Age of Liberty Project

Impact Project: Age of Liberty: Gaming for Freedom

Age of Liberty is a gamified digital outreach initiative developed to engage young people with the principles of liberty through immersive storytelling, interactive decision-making, and real-world activism. In the game, players build their own cities by navigating policy choices rooted in libertarian thought. Campaigns like “Stop Chat Control” are integrated into gameplay, transforming political learning into digital experiences.

The project targets young adults aged 15–30, particularly in France, with the ambition to scale internationally. By partnering with liberty-aligned YouTubers and streamers, it leverages the cultural power of influencers to generate widespread visibility and attract new supporters.

Expected results after one month of launch include over 1,000 players, 3,000 unique visitors, and 200+ new YouTube subscribers for SFL France. The game also serves as a platform for testing new issue-based levels aligned with SFL campaigns.

Initial Objectives

  • Reach 1,000+ total players (300 in France, 700 abroad) in the first month;
  • Launch new content partnerships with liberty-minded YouTubers and gamers;
  • Integrate current SFL campaigns as interactive game levels;
  • Increase SFL France’s digital presence across platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
