SFL alumnus from Nigeria, Bayonle Fesobi, was selected to participate in the MarCom360 and Think Tank 360 training sessions at the Atlas Network Academy

Students For Liberty alumnus from Nigeria, Bayonle Fesobi, was selected to participate in the MarCom360 and Think Tank 360 training sessions at the Atlas Network Academy in early September 2022. The highly competitive two-day training culminating in certification took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

During the Atlas Network training, Bayonle had the chance to network with peers and enhance marketing and communication skills for greater impact. Additionally, Bayonle took part in the Young Scholars Colloquium organized by Liberty Sparks, an organization in Tanzania founded by fellow SFL alumnus, Evans Exaud.

As a libertarian who hosted the Keynes/Hayek Debate in his sophomore year, Bayonle Fesobi became active with SFL and realized the importance of continuing to provide opportunities to subsequent generations. As a result, he joined SFL. In 2017, Bayonle began volunteering for Students For Liberty as a local coordinator. Since then, he has developed a wealth of leadership, professional communication, and event-hosting experience.

He became National Coordinator for SFL Nigeria and went on to establish a campus group in Federal University Lokoja, Nigeria among others in the Northern region of the country. He became the Regional Coordinator for Recruitment and Expansion, Regional Coordinator for Sierra Leone, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and Cape Verde and was able to host numerous successful conferences, seminars, and meetings within and outside Nigeria, including the 2019 Nigerian Leadership Forum; the 2019 and 2021 West African Regional Conference in Ibadan.

More recently, Bayonle has been working as a Community Mobilizer on the Liberty Opportunity Task Force team as part of SFL’s global staff. Bayonle was a Regional Coordinator of Communications and Marketing at African Students For Liberty before taking on the current position.

Additionally, Bayonle is a graduate of the 2021–2022 cohort of the African Liberty Writing Fellowship where he also served as a Social Media Intern. The fellowship is supported by Students For Liberty and seeks to train young Africans in the art of opinion article writing. He is a member of the Hayek global MBA community.

Speaking on his experience as an SFLer, Bayonle says, “It’s both fun and worthwhile advocating for individualism and a freer society at SFL and for me, this is the best place to be as a global libertarian leader!”
