Students For Liberty condemns the violence and chaos at the U.S. Capitol

Students For Liberty calls for an end to the violence and chaos at the U.S. Capitol, and a peaceful transfer of power. The unprecedented scenes in Washington D.C. today represent an assault on the values of liberty on which the United States was founded, as well as an insult to the Constitution.

Instead of organizing a peaceful protest to make their point, the mob who have stormed the Capitol Building today are mounting a despicable attempt to use violence towards their own ends. Those responsible should face justice.

We must find a way back to civil discourse over political differences instead of today’s terrifying and embarrassing scenes.
