Tandin Gyeltshen

Bio: Tandin Gyeltshen serves as the National Coordinator for Students For Liberty in Bhutan, where he leads the organization’s mission to advance the principles of individual liberty, free markets, and limited government. In this capacity, he is responsible for coordinating national activities, supporting local leaders, and strengthening the network of liberty-minded youth across the country.
Tandin brings extensive experience in youth engagement, communications, and sustainable development. He currently serves as the Communication and Outreach Officer at Gola-Gola Bhutan, a youth-led nonprofit thrift store initiative promoting sustainable fashion and reducing textile waste. His work in this role has been widely recognized, including accolades from the European Union and Save the Children.

He is a certified trainer under the National Training of Trainers (NTOT) program and has facilitated national-level trainings organized by Y-PEER Bhutan. In addition to his facilitation and leadership skills, Tandin is also a creative communicator, having won a regional poster competition organized by the Working Group on Disability and the 2030 Agenda.

Tandin Gyeltshen was awarded the “Outstanding Contribution to Student Life” award in 2023–2024 in recognition of his leadership and service. As National Coordinator, he is dedicated to empowering young leaders, fostering intellectual discourse, and advancing liberty-oriented initiatives throughout Bhutan.
