Day in the Life: South Asia Regional Coordinator Tanmay Mehra

Published on

“Peace, Love, Liberty, and a whole lot more.”

  1. What made you decide to join Students For Liberty?

I was hunting for like-minded folks who understood the cause of liberty and the sheer importance it holds in our lives. Looking at what Students For Liberty and their leaders have achieved globally only made me more eager to join and contribute.

  1. What was your biggest accomplishment as a student leader?

My biggest accomplishment was organizing my first event. Getting people together on campus who are ordinarily not conducive to such things, and then seeing the visible change from the attendees post-event was exhilarating.

  1. What would you tell someone who is considering getting involved with Students For Liberty?

I would tell them three words. Sign. Up. Now. Students For Liberty is the place you want to be if you want to create change with your ideas and actions.

  1. What does liberty mean to you?

A famous Bollywood actress once said, “My business is my business, none of your business.” Liberty for me means the unhindered ability to live on my own terms, and to exercise my rights and duties in an environment which is conducive towards it.
