North American Recruitment and Outreach Associate

Students For Liberty (SFL) is looking for a Recruitment and Outreach Associate to support the organization’s expansion and visibility across North America. This position is key to recruiting new students, growing local groups, and driving engagement through social media and digital outreach. The Associate will also assist in promoting major student initiatives, activism campaigns, and educational events. As part of the North American Programs Team, this role involves working directly with students, overseeing volunteer recruitment, assisting in marketing efforts, and helping develop creative strategies to engage new audiences. The position requires regular travel within the region and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

Key Responsibilities

Student Recruitment & Growth: 

  • Drive student engagement and expand SFL’s presence in new states and campuses across North America.
  • Recruit or help recruit new Local Coordinators to build long-term activist networks.
  • Develop chapter formation and growth strategies through outreach, tabling, and digital engagement.

Social Media & Digital Marketing: 

  • Develop and execute digital outreach strategies to promote our student programs.
  • Manage social media engagement on Instagram and TikTok. 
  • Assist in content creation for marketing campaigns, including graphics, videos, and written materials.
  • Oversee paid ad campaigns and track recruitment success through social media analytics. 

Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Manage data tracking and reporting for recruitment and outreach metrics. 
  • Uphold SFL’s brand, culture, and mission with volunteers and external partners. 
  • Collaborate with other teams to initiate and streamline new programs and projects. 

Qualifications 

  • Passionate about liberty and SFL’s mission & vision. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in grassroots activism, recruitment, or volunteer management.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency with G-Suite tools and collaborative document management.
  • Ability to track data, analyze metrics, and report on recruitment outcomes.
  • Graphic design skills using Canva, Photopea, or similar tools are a plus. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work autonomously in a remote setting.
  • Willingness to travel (~10%) for events and outreach.
