Women for Clean Energy, Busia County Phase is a She Leads initiative that equips women aged 18 to 45 with skills in clean-energy production, entrepreneurship, leadership, and free-market principles. Building on an earlier pilot, the project helps participants turn locally available materials into marketable clean-energy products while strengthening their ability to manage income and independent enterprises.

The program combines practical production training, business development, peer networks, and follow-up support. It is designed to create women-led clean-energy businesses and a local network that can continue sharing knowledge after the formal training period.

Initial Objectives:

• Train 80 women in Busia County in clean-energy production, entrepreneurship, and free-market principles.
• Support the creation of at least five women-led clean-energy businesses.
• Strengthen participants’ leadership, financial, and business-management skills.
• Launch a local women’s clean-energy network for peer learning and continued cooperation.
