Sharing Liberty-Based Peacebuilding Stories Through Youth Media

Impact Project: Voices of Peace: A Liberty Storytelling Initiative

Voices of Peace is a storytelling initiative that uses film to document and share narratives of resilience, reconciliation, and peace building from individuals and communities affected by conflict or marginalization. The project addresses the lack of creative, accessible platforms for peace advocacy by producing short films, conducting youth filmmaker training, and hosting community screenings with facilitated dialogue. By empowering local storytellers and leveraging film as a tool for education and empathy, the initiative creates space for healing, connection, and action. It builds a digital archive of peace-focused stories while fostering youth-led civic engagement, aiming to reshape public discourse and inspire cross-cultural solidarity around nonviolence and shared human experience.

Initial Objectives:

  • By October 2026, produce and release seven (7) short films, each aligned with one Students For Liberty pillar, showcasing real stories of peacebuilding through individual freedom and voluntary cooperation.
  • Produce and release 7 short films, each aligned with an SFL pillar, showcasing stories of freedom and voluntary peacebuilding.
