Impact Project: Liberty Conference Burundi

Liberty Conference Burundi is a groundbreaking national event scheduled for September 18, 2025, in Bujumbura. Designed to address the limited exposure to liberty principles in Burundian universities, the conference will convene student leaders from all 41 universities, SFL coordinators, government officials, media, and private sector partners. With the goal of fostering nationwide dialogue on liberty, the project will train over 120 student leaders to lead follow-up sessions on their campuses, reaching more than 2,000 students. The initiative also aims to influence educational discourse, expand media visibility, and create long-term institutional partnerships, positioning SFL as a central actor in youth civic engagement and liberty education in Burundi.

Initial Objectives:

  • Host a national conference with 150+ attendees.
  • Train 120+ student leaders to lead local sessions.
  • Reach 2,000+ students across all universities.
  • Secure at least 2 national media features.
  • Establish 3 institutional or private sector partnerships.
