Impact Project: Free Horizon

Free Horizon is a Mali-based youth civic-engagement and media initiative that promotes freedom of expression through arts, digital literacy, local media, and intergenerational dialogue. It aims to create safe spaces where young people can discuss community challenges, tell local stories, and develop leadership skills.

The project plans to combine civic education with a community podcast and youth-led storytelling, helping participants communicate responsibly and contribute to peaceful, locally grounded public dialogue.

Initial Objectives:

  • Promote freedom of expression through arts, civic education, and local media.
  • Train participants in digital literacy and responsible online communication.
  • Establish safe and inclusive spaces for intergenerational civic dialogue.
  • Launch a community podcast that elevates youth perspectives on freedom.
