Acknowledgment of Charter Requirements

By submitting this form, you agree to the following terms and obligations as a recognized Students For Liberty (SFL) chapter:

501(c)(3) Compliance. Your chapter operates under SFL's 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and must adhere to all applicable guidelines. This includes maintaining non-partisan activity and ensuring all chapter operations align with SFL's nonprofit designation.

Use of the SFL Name & Brand. Chapters are granted limited authorization to use the Students For Liberty name, logo, and branding solely for approved chapter activities. This authorization may be revoked at any time at SFL's discretion.

Board Requirement. Each chapter is required to maintain an active leadership board. At minimum, this includes a President and at least 2 additional officers. Board information must be kept current with SFL staff.

Chapter Activity. Chapter leadership agrees to maintain an active chapter by conducting at least 2 meetings and 2 tabling sessions per month, and organize at least 1 speaking event per semester.

No Political Campaigning. Chapters may never campaign for, endorse, or advocate on behalf of any political candidate, political party, or ballot measure. Violations of this policy may result in immediate disaffiliation.

Staff Communication. Chapters are expected to maintain regular contact with their designated SFL staff contact, respond to communications in a timely manner, and keep SFL informed of chapter activities and leadership changes.

Event Approval. Chapters may not host events under the SFL name without prior approval from SFL staff. Event requests must be submitted in advance through the appropriate channels.

Right to Disassociation. SFL reserves the right to disaffiliate any chapter at any time for failure to meet these obligations, violations of SFL policy, or conduct inconsistent with SFL's mission and values.
