Mr. Olson is retired from a 26-year career in investment banking, primarily in the fixed-income division at Credit Suisse, with responsibilities for financial engineering and new product development. He has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Harvard, an M.B.A. in finance from UCLA, and a C.Phil. (“all-but-dissertation”) in economics from UCLA. He first became aware of the liberty movement from reading The Freeman magazine while in graduate school. He is chairman of the Foundation for Economic Education, a trustee of the Free to Choose Network, and a member of Students For Liberty’s board of directors.
