The 12th edition of the Farroupilha Interdisciplinary Symposium marked another meaningful chapter in a tradition that has been shaping debate and ideas in Brazil for over a decade. For twelve years, participants from across the country have come together to reflect, question, and contribute to the construction of a freer and more prosperous society.
This year’s symposium brought together more than 300 participants and featured five lectures addressing essential themes for understanding Brazil’s current political and institutional landscape.
The event stood out not only for the relevance of its discussions but also for the rich exchange among participants from different regions of the country.
Organized by Clube Farroupilha in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, the symposium explored the theme “Brazil: A Patchwork Republic,” and offered diverse and critical perspectives on the challenges facing the nation. As the community looks ahead to the 13th edition, the symposium continues to affirm its role as a space for dialogue, learning, and long-term commitment to liberty.
