The Nepal Policy Forum continues to grow and gain momentum. In response to the rising Gen Z movement and ongoing political uncertainties in Nepal, South Asia SFL organized two events in different provinces. The theme: “Gen Z and the Future of Liberty in Nepal: From Protest to Policy.”

The first event, held in Chitwan, brought together more than 70 participants and featured a lawyer and a local politician who discussed how young people can transform civic frustration into meaningful policy engagement. The second event, held in Surkhet, gathered more than 40 attendees and included a journalist, a politician, and a youth leader as panelists, creating a diverse environment for reflection and debate.

Organizers were resilient throughout the process. They faced significant challenges, including speakers withdrawing and venues backing out due to the political sensitivity of the forum.

Still, they adapted, persevered, and delivered two strong forums that gave young Nepalese a platform to understand, question, and influence the future of their country.
