Students for Liberty Madrid celebrated Women’s Week with a series of impactful events aimed at highlighting the contributions and perspectives of women in the realm of liberty advocacy, as well as the many ways in which fundamental rights of women still continue to be violated around the world. On March 2, despite adverse weather conditions including a hailstorm, SFL Madrid joined forces with our partners from FUNDALIB and LOLA to stage a demonstration outside the Iranian Embassy under the banner of #LifeWomenFreedom. This event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of defending women’s rights and autonomy in all aspects of life all over the world.

Continuing their commitment to amplifying women’s voices, on March 8, the International Women’s Day, SFL Madrid again collaborated with LOLA, FUNDALIB, and the Juan de Mariana Institute to host a special event. At this gathering, liberal-minded women came together to produce a live podcast, offering insights, perspectives, and experiences on topics ranging from personal freedom to economic empowerment. This dynamic exchange of ideas showcased the diverse perspectives and talents within liberal community.

Through these events, Students for Liberty Madrid sought to underscore the vital role that women play in advancing the principles of liberty and individual rights. By standing in solidarity and providing platforms for dialogue and expression, SFL Madrid aim to foster an environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute to the pursuit of a freer  society for everyone.

As a reflect on Women’s Week and the events that unfolded, we are reminded of the resilience, courage, and determination of women everywhere in the fight for freedom and justice. Moving forward, Students for Liberty Madrid remains committed to championing the rights and freedoms of all individuals, regardless of gender, and to continue our efforts in creating a more inclusive and just world for future generations.
