[Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina] Students For Liberty is proud to announce that their former student leader, Admir Čavalić, was elected as a member of the City Council of the City of Tuzla. The official results were announced on December 15, 2020 by the Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This election is a milestone for Students For Liberty on their mission to advance the ideas of a free society in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Admir Čavalić stated the following on his social media page:
“This is the proof that changes are possible, which I will show in the coming period. We will focus, of course, on the program I have prepared, new ideas, initiatives, and generally different values in our local politics. I am happy to work with others in the City Council, especially the progressive group. We can definitely congratulate Tuzla on these elections.”
This news comes in the wake of recent victories from SFL alumni in Brazil’s local elections, which took place on November 15, 2020:
To congratulate all elected alumni, Students For Liberty’s CEO, Dr. Wolf von Laer, has released the following statement:
“We are extremely proud to see our alumni serving their communities in positions of influence across the fields of politics, business, academia, and journalism, as well as many other prominent industries. Students For Liberty is committed to empowering the next generation of leaders as they come together to work on policy change within their local and national institutions, and make meaningful progress towards the advancement of a freer future.”
