North American Programs Manager

Students For Liberty (SFL) is looking for a Programs Manager to lead the growth and development of our house system and provide strategic mentorship to student leaders across North America. This role is central to fostering long-term engagement, guiding student-led Impact Projects, and coaching Trailblazers to achieve meaningful results. The Programs Manager will also play a vital role in building and managing partnerships with aligned organizations, offering students unique opportunities and resources. This position is ideal for someone who loves working directly with student leaders, thrives on community building, and is excited to scale high-impact systems.

Key Responsibilities 

House System Development & Oversight:

  • Manage and improve the structure, resources, and leadership pipeline within SFL’s development house system.
  • Support House Managers in running meetings, tracking student engagement, and cultivating community.
  • Analyze participation data and feedback to refine the system and drive student retention.

Impact Project & Trailblazer Mentorship:

  • Mentor high-performing students as they design and execute ambitious, mission-aligned projects.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to maximize student leadership development and project outcomes
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and scalability of individual projects and offer feedback for iteration.

Partnerships & External Engagement:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with aligned organizations, think tanks, and educational institutions for the development houses. 
  • Coordinate partnership initiatives that bring students new opportunities, events, or resources.
  • Manage ongoing communications and logistics with external partners.

Student Retention & Engagement Strategy:

  • Ensure students remain connected, challenged, and motivated throughout their time in the house system. 
  • Track engagement metrics across key programs and provide proactive support to students showing signs of disengagement
  • Collaborate with other staff to integrate gamification, recognition, and leadership pathways into student programming.

Team Collaboration & Program Innovation:

  • Work closely with the Programs Director and other staff to evaluate and improve program models
  • Help design new initiatives that align with SFL’s mission and strengthen student leadership
  • Contribute to program tracking, reporting, and storytelling to highlight student success

Qualifications:

  • Deep commitment to SFL’s mission of advancing individual liberty, free markets, and peace.
  • 2+ years of experience in program management, coaching, or leadership development.
  • Experience working with student leaders, grassroots movements, or youth-led projects.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator and mentor, capable of inspiring and challenging others.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple projects at once.
  • Experience with CRMs, spreadsheets, and tools like Airtable or Notion is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for events and in-person student engagement (~20%)
