André Freo

Bio: André has been part of the liberty movement for more than a decade. He started as a Local Coordinator in southern Brazil and went on to become SFL’s Brazilian Programs Director. He then moved to the private sector, where he helped run a $20 million marketing operation. In 2021, the International News Media Association nominated one of his projects for Best Digital Commerce Initiative, in a field that included The New York Times.

André returned to SFL in 2022 and built the Prometheus Fellowship Program from scratch, growing it into a multi-year track of professional and philosophical training for more than 100 students from 46 countries. In March 2024, he became Director of International Programs.

Today, as Senior Director of Global Programs and Foundations, André oversees SFL’s ten regional and global program teams and leads its foundation partnerships. He connects funders with the results that students and alumni deliver on the ground. He holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and a Master’s degree in Team Management and Leadership from the European Business School of Barcelona (ENEB).
