SFL Madrid bringing students closer to classical liberal literature

The written word is a powerful tool for spreading the ideas of liberty, and our team in Madrid certainly understands this!

That’s why the team organized their unique Book Fair at the beginning of the academic year, aiming to acquaint students with classical liberal literature and its authors.

The event featured eleven book presentations by the authors of the publications, along with an introductory workshop on writing for liberty and the significance of activism and its impact on one’s life.

In the discussions, the speakers covered topics such as the ethics of capitalism, the history of money, and contemporary issues like the inefficiency of the war on drugs, as well as market approaches to environmental challenges.

The event, held with the support of publishers of the showcased books and partner organizations like Ladies for Liberty Alliance and Students For Liberty alumni, drew in over a hundred interested students — hopefully all future writers for liberty!

Students For Liberty Spain aims to further enhance the event, turning it into an annual opportunity for aspiring writers to connect and gain insights from successful authors advocating for liberty. We look forward to the return of the book fair next year!
