DENVER, CO. — May 3, 2023 – Metropolitan State University is proud to present FutureCon, a one-day conference that delves into the multifaceted medical, business, and policy issues surrounding controlled substances. This event, the largest entirely student-organized psychedelic research and policy conference in the nation, brings together top researchers, mental health professionals, and policy experts in the field to share their insights on a variety of critical topics.

Participants at the conference can expect to engage with the latest research on the therapeutic potential of various controlled substances, gain insight into the clinical trials process, and learn about potential policy solutions to today’s drug-related problems. The event promises to be a valuable opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge and understanding of the complex world of controlled substances.

“It’s incredible to think that just four years ago, there was no jurisdiction in the country with any passed psychedelic policy,” said one of the presenters at the conference, nonprofit tax lawyer and legal scholar Victoria Litman. “Now we have two states, and dozens of localities.”

Registration for the conference includes lunch and entry to the happy hour networking social, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with professionals and peers who share their interest in this important field. Although the event is free to attend, spaces are limited, so interested parties are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure their spot at this groundbreaking event.
