Palagashvili is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her primary research interests include the gig economy and broader independent workforce, entrepreneurship, and regulation. She has published academic articles, book chapters, policy papers, and articles in media outlets such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. In 2016, she was named one of the Forbes’ “30 under 30” in Law & Policy. Palagashvili was an Assistant Professor of Economics at State University of New York-Purchase and earned her Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University.
