MCLEAN, VA., March 10, 2023 – Monday, March 20 through Thursday, March 23, Spike Cohen, the 2020 Libertarian candidate for vice president and first millennial on the ballot in all fifty states, will be doing a three-university speaking tour through Ohio sponsored by Students For Liberty and The Leadership Institute titled the You Are The Power tour.
Cohen will speak with students about ways they can be politically active in their communities to keep government honest and to hold elected officials accountable, while also talking about ways to utilize the media to help with those causes. The failure and lack of leadership from federal government agencies like the EPA and Transportation Department in the aftermath of the East Palestine train derailment will also be a featured topic. Tuesday this week, Cohen appeared on FOX Business discussing President Biden’s consideration to ban Tik Tok in the US. He’ll be making his next appearance from Cincinnati on the 20th to discuss the tour and the East Palestine aftermath.
Cohen is making himself available for media leading up to the tour and in-person if requested throughout the week. Selected media and journalism students will be shadowing him throughout the week at scheduled interviews and discussions.
