We invited Matt and Terry Kibbe of Free The People for a live discussion on our Instagram channel to answer these questions.
Matt Kibbe is co-founder and president at Free the People, an educational foundation that uses cutting-edge technology, video production, and storytelling to turn on the next generation — “the liberty curious” to the values of liberty and cooperation.
He is an executive producer at BlazeTV, where he produces the Kibbe on Liberty podcast, a distinguished senior fellow at the Austrian Economics Center in Vienna, and co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a strategic communications firm focused on video production, social media branding, and compelling storytelling. Dubbed “The Scribe” by the New York Daily News, Kibbe is the author of three books, most recently the #2 New York Times bestseller Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto.
Terry spent the first decade of her career working on defense contracts with companies such as EDS and Unisys. Looking for a different challenge, in 1997, she made a career shift and moved into the non-profit and philanthropic world. Since then, she has raised millions in operating capital for various nonprofit and political causes. Terry is a member of The Mont Pelerin Society and serves on the Friends of the Austrian Economic Center board. Most recently, she is co-founder and chief executive officer of Free the People and co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions.
