Aaron Rhodes is a Senior Fellow in the Common Sense Society, and President of the Forum for Religious Freedom-Europe. He was Executive Director of the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights 1993-2007, and a co-founder of the Freedom Rights Project, a think tank, as well as the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran. He is the author of The Debasement of Human Rights (Encounter Books 2018), as well as numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and editorials. Rhodes was educated at Reed College (Oregon) and in the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago, where he was awarded a Ph.D. Among other honors, he was made an honorary citizen of the Republic of Austria in recognition of his contributions to human rights defense.
