Alexander McCobin

Alexander has been selling and raising money since he was a kid: first, as the top popcorn salesman in his Boy Scout Troop, then working as a Kirby door-to-door vacuum salesman during his first summer in college. The summer wrapped up with such success he was asked to consider dropping out of school and selling vacuums full-time. However, he aspired to apply his skills to leadership and organization building, always aiming for a higher challenge. In 2005 he launched a debate camp that he scaled into a nonprofit to support under-served youth in the Mid-Atlantic area. Continuing on this trajectory, his next project was Students For Liberty, which began as an all-volunteer student group that Alexander scaled to become a multi-million dollar enterprise, the largest organization of its kind—educating, developing, and empowering the next generation of leaders of liberty. The decade-long experience running Students For Liberty helped Alexander build a solid platform for success through hands-on problem-solving on every organizational level as the project grew and became international, leaving him well-equipped with new skills, meaningful connections, and a finer understanding of the intricacies and underpinnings of both the non-profit and business world. Alexander’s achievements at Students For Liberty caught the eyes of successful entrepreneurs who invited him to take on the CEO role at Conscious Capitalism, Inc., a global community of business leaders committed to serving as the best representatives and advocates for capitalism. He set records for revenue that was used to launch new programs and expanded CCI’s events across the world. Over his career, Alexander has generated tens of millions of dollars in donations and sales for his organizations. Where many see money as the root of all evil or a topic to avoid, Alexander learned to love money as one of the most powerful forces to create value for others and to fulfill one’s mission.

Students For Liberty is the largest pro-liberty student organization in the world.
