Bio: Before joining as Programs Associate, South Asia, Harini was the Regional Coordinator for Sri Lanka and Maldives. She is a graduate in International Relations from the University of Colombo and possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy and World Affairs. She is also an alumni of The Fund for American Studies, Asian Institute of Political Economy and has been a part of international programmes focusing on Foreign and Public Policy, transparency and human rights and sexual and reproductive health rights. She also works as the Programme and Research Officer at Sri Lanka Press Institute where she works closely on areas such as freedom of expression, right to information, and journalists’ rights. Prior to joining SLPI, she worked with Transparency International Sri Lanka where she worked on Open Government Partnership and election monitoring. Harini is a passionate advocate for women’s rights and sexual and reproductive health rights and has been working closely with organizations such as the Youth Advocacy Network Sri Lanka.
