About the Organization

Students For Liberty (SFL) is the largest pro-liberty student organization in the world with students active in 117 countries on every inhabited continent. With a multi-million dollar budget and over 70 full-time staff members, we serve pro-liberty students in their pursuit to become leaders of liberty. We accomplish this through a strategy of identifying the top students and then empowering them to be agents of change in their communities. Last school year, our students organized over 2,700 events with over 600,000 people in attendance. We are a fully virtual, vibrant, and entrepreneurial organization working with a diverse team in the U.S. and around the world.

Position summary

Students For Liberty is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Training & Engagement team. This is a remote, permanent contractor position. 

Working closely with our global Director for Training and Engagement, the successful candidate will develop new online trainings and educational materials for our international volunteer network. The successful candidate will know about curriculum and program development and how to use online learning management systems. In addition, they will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and using gamification as a tool for driving engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of online and in-person training curricula into various languages. 
  • All stages of training production from curricula design, script writing, sourcing voice-overs, liaising with Creative and IT departments to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Oversee elements of SFL’s gamification system including incentives for training, certification of training, and leadership progression. 
  • Support the Training & Engagement Director in realizing the department’s vision for SFL’s training programs. 
  • Occasionally deliver in-person or online live training as and when required by SFL’s international Programs teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of instructional design in curriculum and course development.
  • Past experience developing online trainings, courses, handbooks etc. 
  • Experience delivering in-person instructor-led trainings.
  • Knowledge of scriptwriting, video processes, and marketing is an advantage.
  • Past experience using gamification is an advantage.
  • Past experience working with volunteers is also an advantage but not required.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc). 
  • Great people skills, a self-starter with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for SFL’s mission, values, and alignment with our core principles.
