About the Role:
Students For Liberty is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter to join our team as an Online Learning Specialist.
In this role, you will work closely with our global Director for Training and Engagement to implement SFL’s training vision, evaluate existing programs, and maintain an engaging multi-lingual online training experience aimed at enhancing individual skills and overall volunteer performance.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for education, personal/professional development, and an understanding of curriculum development and learning design. They also have experience in online learning management systems and can create engaging multi-lingual online training experiences. Proficiency in written and verbal English is essential, and fluency in one or more of the following languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Russian is highly desirable.
Additionally, our ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Google Suite, including Sheets, Docs, and Slides, and be able to collaborate effectively with other departments using various tools. In addition to these skills, the candidate will have at least some knowledge of using gamification as a tool for driving engagement and will be able to track and report on the success of our training materials. They will have a balance of creativity with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and meet and exceed departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the production of multilingual online training modules in furtherance of SFL’s training vision.
- Coordinate all stages of online training products, including curricula design, script writing, visual design, translations, subtitles, and voice-over sourcing where required.
- Collaborate with SFL’s Creative and IT departments to ensure high-quality delivery of all training materials.
- Support the integration of SFL’s gamification system, including incentives, certification, and leadership progression.
- Facilitate online live training as needed (e.g. Zoom sessions).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in online education.
- Continuously evaluate and update online training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Support the development of new program ideas and initiatives.
- Communicate regular org-wide updates from the training team.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
- Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of instructional design in curriculum and course development.
- Knowledge of WordPress is a benefit.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a benefit.
- Experience developing online training, courses, handbooks, etc.
- Experience delivering in-person instructor-led training.
- Knowledge of script writing, video processes, and marketing is an advantage.
- Experience using gamification is an advantage but not required.
- Experience working with volunteers is an advantage but not required.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc).
- Knowledge of any of the following languages is beneficial: French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Russian.
