The Politics of Public Health Paternalism

Students For Liberty invites you to join us for the next episode of our #NoNannyState Instagram Live series, where we will be discussing The Politics of Public Health Paternalism.

Our guests are Reason’s Jacob Rich and Elizabeth Hicks from the Consumer Choice Center. This event will be hosted by Russell Coates, Students For Liberty’s Global Content Marketing Specialist.

Governments are becoming increasingly paternalistic in the way they regulate the lifestyle choices of their citizens. For instance, in the level of regulation around eating, drinking, vaping, and smoking. During this event, we will take a closer look at the issue of public health paternalism, explore the origins and reasons of paternalistic policies, and discuss the consequences of regulations.
