Southern Africa Regional Conference

The 2021 Zambia Regional conference brings together proponents of classical liberal ideas from Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, and Angola among other African and non-Africa countries ranging from students in institutions of higher learning, the corporate world (private sector), and civil service. Speakers come from all walks of life with interests in free markets, open borders, rule of law, limited government, individual and property rights, among others. Ideally, anyone willing to listen, learn and have an opinion on liberty ideas is usually welcome.

Among other ways, the regional conference presents a great forum for attendees to create awareness on their existence while spreading its ideologies, and presents a great opportunity of learning about classical liberal ideas from seasoned libertarians and proponents of liberal ideas from Southern Africa and across the world. Participants also get to debate and engage one another on liberty ideas relative to current and emerging issues across Southern Africa and the world. We also get to take a back seat and review our progress and achievements for the past financial year in advocating for and spreading ideas of liberty in the specter of the rule of law, free markets, tolerance, limited governments, civil society, skepticism of power, peace, individualism and property rights. Ultimately, the RC presents a good opportunity for Southern African to network, essentially making new friends.

On a social side of it, for first time travelers to Zambia, it will be an opportunity to have a view of the beautiful city of Kitwe, a mining city. 64 kilometers west of Ndola, Kitwe is the hub of the copperbelt and the principal industrial and commercial center of the area. The city owes its existence to the copper mining industries and secondary industries that have been established. Planned on modern lines, Kitwe has a large shopping area with hotels, a cinema and theatre.

The city of Kitwe offers an endless array of activities and attractions for those visiting the area. Areas to visit include the Chembe Bird Sanctuary, Kumasamba Lodge, Local Markets, Mindolo dam, Mwekwera Falls, Nkana Mines and Water Sports.

You don’t want to miss all of this exciting stuff! Join us on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Copperbelt University, Kitwe Riverside, Zambia for a memorable and life-changing experience! Register to attend below.
