Regional Coordinator, Central Africa and Great Lakes Region

Bio: Monia Wakana is the founder of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance in Burundi, Rwanda and the DRC, Monia Wakana is a member of the Executive Committee of SFL Africa. Passionate about a free and prosperous society, Monia began to actively promote freedom ideas in 2016 after joining the SFL club of Bujumbura University of Light. She is part of the team that has contributed to the growth of the freedom movement in the Great Lakes region.

Monia represented Students For Liberty as part of partnership projects with Network for A Free Society aimed at removing obstacles to prosperity and opportunities in Burundi, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2016. She also represented SFL in 2016 in the book promotion project “The Morality of Capitalism” of Dr. Tom G. Palmer in Burundi.

Currently, she is Regional Coordinator of Central Africa and Great Lakes Region in African Students For Liberty.
