Students For Liberty is proud to announce that Nick Gillespie, editor in chief of Reason.tv and Reason.com, will be the third Keynote Speaker at the International Students For Liberty Conference. Prior to his current role, Mr. Gillespie served as editor in chief of Reason magazine from 2000 to 2008, during which time Reason won the 2005 Western Publications Association “Maggie” Award for Best Political Magazine.

A great addition to a stellar seminar. Nick’s perspective was positive and challenged us to step back and think about just how free we as individuals are today compared to just a few decades prior.
I’m very much a fan of this outlook, and it reminds me of Spencer’s “The Right to Ignore the State” (http://www.constitution.org/hs/ignore_state.htm). To me, it means living my life as free as possible knowing that, though my actions may violate man-made legislation at times, they do not violate natural law or the rights of others.
