Bio: Victoria Leca is an undergraduate at Portland State University where she is pursuing a double BA in Political Science and European Studies with a minor in Spanish. She is interested in foreign affairs and economic policies and the libertarian response to our current problems, particularly the response to the global economic crisis. Born in a former communist state, she has always been skeptical to the idea that governments can solve a nation’s problems, so Libertarian philosophy was a common sense approach for her. Now as a senior in college, she would like to dedicate her time to spreading the ideas of liberty on campus. In order to prepare for a year as a campus coordinator, in addition to all the training SFL will offer, she is also thinking of attending an Institute for Humane Studies Summer Seminar in Orange County, California.
Favorite figures in liberty: Milton Freidman, Tom Palmer, Tom Woods, Ayn Rand
On Students For Liberty: “As an SFL Campus Coordinator I hope to provide Oregon students with a different perspective on our current issues and on what moral and sensible solutions would look like. I would like to be an advocate for intellectual diversity on our campuses.”
