Bio: Neil McGettigan is an Undergraduate at Rutgers University where he is pursuing a B.A. in History and Philosophy. Ever since he picked up Atlas Shrugged he has been interested in the philosophical justifications of individualism and free markets. He has always been fascinated with history, and the more he has read the more he has come to see it in the terms of struggle between the power of the State and those that wish to own themselves. He is currently the President of the Rutgers Libertarians and editor of their student publication the Invisible Hand, and also Treasurer of the Rutgers Chapter Young Americans for Liberty.
Figures in Liberty: Ayn Rand, Frederick Bastiat, Gary Johnson, F.A. Hayek, H.L. Mencken
On Students for Liberty: As a campus coordinator I will reach out to pro-liberty student organizations in the greater New Jersey area. I am proud to belong to SFL, an organization that is uniting the young people who realize that the policies of the progressives have made us both poorer and less free. I cannot wait to meet young people with similar sentiment for liberty like myself who love staying up to 3:00 o’clock in the morning talking about paxeology over coffee.
