Bio: Fernando is studying International Business Management at the University of Santa Maria in Guayaquil. He came into contact with liberal ideas during his early college years studying various texts of Friedrich Hayek and Johan Norberg. It was not until he read the Selected Works of Frederic Bastiat, however, that he began to consider himself a libertarian.
Watching the worrying economic and political situation in Ecuador, he became more convinced that freedom was the only viable path to lasting peace and prosperity. As a result of his convictions, in 2013 he became an active part of the group Students For Liberty. In July 2014, he became a Local Coordinator and since July 2015, he has served as a member of the Executive Council.
