We are thrilled to announce that a new pro-liberty student group has been formed in Israel. March 18th was the first meeting of the Tel-Aviv University Students For Liberty.
Check out their new website at http://libertarian.org.il/?p=69
While their numbers may be small they possess the passion necessary to advance the cause of liberty. As they rightly point out on their website:
“Even a single man, if he is creative and dedicated to his cause, can come up with an event or activity that’ll get media coverage or attract the attention of his fellow men to the cause of individual liberty. What is important is that we remember – like all progress, progress towards liberty is promoted through the actions of individual men.
Only thus will we regain the liberty that is ours by right.”
The TAU SFL’s founding just further proves that the student movement for liberty is growing at an astonishing rate. Liberty is not merely an American concept, but one embraced by people all over the world. The 2010 International Students For Liberty Conference was attended by students from all over the world including Colombia, Peru, Italy, Russia, France, Canada, Azerbaijan, and Australia. With groups popping up all over the world, the future of liberty looks bright. As the TAU SFL said, only by acting as individuals but together toward a common goal can our vision become reality.

Many libertarians support Palestinian private property rights. In “Property Rights and the ‘Right of Return’” professor Richard Ebeling writes: “If a settlement is reached between the Israelis and the Palestinians, justice would suggest that all legitimate property should be returned to its rightful owners and that residence by those owners on their property should be once again permitted.” Attorney Stephen P. Halbrook in “The Alienation of a Homeland: How Palestine Became Israel” writes: “Palestinian Arabs have the rights to return to their homes and estates taken over by Israelis, to receive just compensation for loss of life and property, and to exercise national self-determination.” In “War Guilt in the Middle East” Murray Rothbard details Israel’s “aggression against Middle East Arabs,” confiscatory policies and its “refusal to let these refugees return and reclaim the property taken from them.”
As soon as the property of the hundreds of thousand of Jews who were forced to flee their homes in moslem countries get their claims recognized for the property stolen from them, I'll be willing to discuss property rights claims of arabs in Israel. Regardless of what I would do, there is already a process in the Israeli court system for arabs to file their claims. Algeria, Lybia, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Iran have no such process. Lets have a level playing field for all civil claims.
In the Book of Genesis, Chap 17:16 God said of Sarai (Sarah) " I will bless her, and moreover, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her and she shall become nations; kings and peop[les shall come from her." In Chap. 21, Isaac is the child of promise through Sarah. Isaac as promised by God was to be born of Sarah and was the child promised to Abraham. Israel and Jerusalem belong to the descendants of Isaac which are the true Israelite people of today. Obama, holding to his Muslim faith, still believes that Ishmael was the child of promise. What a shame. Obama and the leaders who want to divide Jerusalem should read Joel 3:1-2 about God's judgement on those who divide the land of Israel. In Zechariah 2:9 God warns that He will "shake His hand" over those who try to plunder Israel. If Obama insists on dividing Jerusalem he will bring the curse of God upon himself and the United States.
