As you all know, SFL just hosted our 3rd Annual International Students For Liberty Conference this past weekend at American University hosted by the AU Students For Liberty. With over 280 participants from California to Colombia to Italy, the conference was a tremendous rallying event for the student movement for liberty.
But there is no time to lose in the fight for liberty and so SFL is going right back out there to help introduce more students to the ideas of liberty. This weekend, SFL will be sending representatives to conferences to reach out to students on both the left and the right sides of the political spectrum.
On the Left
Members of the Loyola University Students For Liberty will be representing SFL at the Young Democrats of America’s Winter National Conference in New Orleans. These students will engage YDA Conference participants in heartfelt discussions on the future of liberty in America, the need for true political reform, and opportunities for participants to learn more about the intellectual foundations of freedom. By signing up conference participants to learn more about SFL and the cause of liberty, these students for liberty will help sow the grounds of liberty’s appeal on the left.
On the Right
SFL will be taking a larger presence at the Conservative Political Action Conference this year. In addition to splitting a table with our good friends from the Ladies of Liberty Alliance, SFL will have many representatives talking to students at CPAC about the ideas of liberty and signing them up to learn more about SFL opportunities and resources.
To top it all off, SFL’s President, Alexander McCobin, will be speaking at CPAC on Students For Liberty’s success and just what today’s student movement for liberty means for the future. The speech will be taking place between 3:45 and 4:30pm EST on Friday the 19th in the Marriott Ballroom during the “Two-Minute Activist: Saving Freedom Across the Nation” panel. If you’ll be at CPAC, come check it out and cheer him on. If you won’t be around, CPAC will be broadcast live on C-SPAN, so tune in and check it out!
