Students For a Free Economy is a project of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Michigan, which is one of (if not the) best state-based free market think tanks in the country. SFE is a pioneering effort to organize and educate students in Michigan on the ideas of economic freedom. I’ll let their great new video I am SFE tell you more:
You probably recognized many familiar faces and places in that video. From the beginning SFE has been one of Students For Liberty’s strongest allies in the fight for liberty on campus. In 2008, the SFE students drove through a blizzard in a van from Michigan to New York City for the first ever Students For Liberty Conference. Since then they have attended every conference we’ve held, almost always bringing the largest delegation.
Personally I am thrilled to see the great success that SFE is experiencing. Back when I was in Michigan I had the pleasure of working for SFE when it was just getting off the ground in 2007. Now it is accomplishing things we never would have dreamed possible back then. I am extremely proud to have been a part of such a great organization.
