ISFLC Weather Update

We have been getting a lot of questions about how the weather in DC will affect the International Students For Liberty Conference this weekend.  Here is our weather update:

The International Conference will not be canceled or postponed due to weather conditions.  Although the Washington, DC area has received a large volume of snow recently, it should not be a problem for this conference.  The weather predictions call for clear skies all weekend. Plus, we have already made alternative, back-up arrangements in case there are any potential problems due to the snow to ensure that the conference is held no matter what.

However, there is a possibility that some flights into the DC area could be delayed or canceled.  If this becomes the case for you, be pro-active in getting it resolved.  One option is to go to the airport early to get on standby for an earlier flight.  Another is to find an alternative form of transportation such as train, bus, or carpool.  Make sure to check on your flight status early and often so that if something does come up you can act accordingly.

Remember, the first ISFLC was held 2 years ago during a blizzard in New York City, with almost every attendee still making it.  They found alternate flights, they took the bus, they did whatever was necessary to attend.  This is going to be a fantastic event both for you and the student movement for liberty as a whole.  You do not want to miss out on this exciting event.  Weather is no match for our dedication to liberty!

For both nostalgia and to illustrate what the first year’s conference was like, take a look at these photos from 2 years ago:
